French Caravan Tour 2011

A six week tour towing our caravan starting on Wednesday 17th August and ending onWednesday 28th September avoiding toll roads and using ACSI card or

Camping Cheques where possible. ( both offer off peak site discounts)

Total Mileage 1645 -- (plus 642 miles touring from campsites= 2287 miles grand total)

This year we started by driving direct from Calais to Chartres on the A26, A1 and around Paris on the Peripheriques ( with a distant glimpse of the Eifel Tower and the Saccre Couer )and finally on the A10. This was our one and only day travelling on the peage and cost a total of 30 Euro in toll charged.

This campsite is on our favourite route from Foix to Perpignan and is close to the Gorge de Galamus and Chateaux at Perypertuse and Queribus. This picture is of the chateau at Perypertuse - very impressive even in its pressent ruined state

Camping Robinson was our favourite campsite this year and is located within walking distance of the old town. Well worth another visit.
